Our Maison de Village

Original tomette tiles (traditional hexagonal terra cotta tiles), ceiling fans throughout and fuel-fired central heat for comfy off-season rentals make our comfortable old maison de village ideal for year-round living.

First level: A garage, laundry, and a sitting room and toilet/shower-room that opens onto an enclosed yard with a small swimming pool. Out the back gate is a garden with a peach tree, grape vines, pond and two terraces.

Second level: Living room, dining room, kitchen, toilet/shower-room, and terrace.

Third level: Four bedrooms (sinks in two of them) and full bath with two sinks.

Four bedrooms sleep seven comfortably and privately, a single bed on the pool level sleeps one.

The living area is comfortably furnished, including two sofas, an antique table perfect for a game of cards, writing letters, or perhaps finally writing your memoirs or even a novel (Margaret Atwood finished her final novel of her MaddAddam trilogy while staying here).

The house is fully outfitted for daily life: ample cookware; dishware and glasses (including plastic ware for kids); a food processor and an immersion blender; modern kitchen (including dishwasher, convection oven, beaucoup de cooking utensils); linens; washer & solar dryer (laundry line); private pool; garage; iron & ironing board; children’s games; even simple first aid materials including a thermometer; a wonderful library of books about Provence, maps, tour guides, etc., plus a wide selection of other reading, from fiction to history.

Then there’s a wood-burning fireplace, local telephone, and wireless high-speed Internet connection.

NOTE: Please limit smoking to the outside, as we are allergic non-smokers.
