Our home is an ideal rendezvous with friends or family for vacations, reunions, anniversaries and birthdays… an idyllic retreat for writers, artists, or academics on sabbatical… a perfect long-term winter escape from the city to work remotely.

Whether you are just two – as we often are – or a group of eight, you will immediately feel at home in our lovingly furnished old village house in Carcès.

The French call our décor as "sympa:" warm, rich colors, attractive furniture. And the beds do more than look great… they have great mattresses, too!

Some refer to our house as a villa, but it's really a maison de village. What makes it special is that it sits on the village perimeter. The expanse of the countryside is out the back door while the hustle and bustle of a busy village – including tractors going to and from the vineyards – are out the front door.

Carcès is a working village, not a tourist-crowded monument. Within steps are boulangeries, small shops, cafes, small shops, pharmacies, butchers, banks, the post office, five wineries (in town), a traditional Saturday market, and a charming village of around 3500 people who actually like having visitors in town.

Our Provence villa is no ordinary vacation rental, holiday house, ferienhaus, somerhaus, or holiday accommodation. We call it home… and you can, too.
